Congress steps up protest over fuel price hike in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 31, 2022: On Thursday, the Congress leaders and workers stepped up the protest over the steep hike in fuel prices, under the tutelage of Congress party President, Rahul Gandhi and led by district president Rajinder Chhabra and others in Ferozepur.
During the protest, the workers tried to wake up the sleeping government by beating with empty canisters. Staging protest today, Chhabra said, the prices of petrol and diesel have risen nine times in the last ten days, and that the common man is the most affected due to this.
Speaking on the occasion District Congress President Rajinder Chhabra said that the Modi government is exploiting the general public by imposing an additional burden. If the central government does not withdraw the increased prices, the Congress party will stage a protest on April 4 at the district headquarters.
