Civil Defence Training plays an effective role in disaster management : Grewal
Ferozepur, July 20, 2016: Keeping in view the increase of differences in relations with Pakistan day by day or expected flood situation, the government is making efforts to revive the emergency services. In this context, a three days’ Defence Warden Services camp was organized at ITI, in which about 50 wardens participated, said District Commandant, Gurluvdeep Singh.
He said, the civil defence force is an institution of volunteers set up to play an effective role in disaster management and during times of contingencies.
Addressing the camp, Grewal said, with this training, the citizen can not only protect himself, but take care about the safety of others around him during floods, earthquakes, wars etc.
He said, the more the trainees will acquire themselves, there will be less losses during any natural calamity.
He made an appeal to the citizens, to get training from these camps to the maximum.
On this occasion, the training instructions were present.
