BSP candidate booked for recording video of polling and making public

Ferozepur, June 1, 2024:  A case has been registered at Guruharsahai police station, against Surinder Singh Kamboj, who is contesting elections from Lok Sabha Constituency-10 Ferozepur on BSP ticket, of recording a video and making it public of polling while voting at village Jeevan Arai under Guruahrsahai Vidhan Sabha Constituency.

Giving information in this regard, Returning Officer Lok Sabha Constituency-10 DEO-cum-DC, Rajesh Dhiman said that through social media, it has come to his notice that the candidate contesting on the BSP ticket from this constituency, Surinder Singh Kamboj, has made a video at the time of polling and made viral.

Taking immediate action, case No: 98 on June 1, 2024, has been registered under 171 F IPC, 126 and 132 RP Act 1951 at Guruharshahai police station,

DC also appealed to all the candidates not to violate the instructions of the ECI and constitution and in that, even we have to take action as per the law. It is hoped that all the candidates will follow the rules and laws for the conduct of elections transparently and peacefully.
