BSF troops foil smuggling attempt on the second day, seize 2 kg heroin
Ferozepur, May 24, 2020: The vigilant Border Security Force troops of 136 Bn foiled another third attempt on the second consecutive day with the recovery of 2 kg heroin, having Rs.10 crore value in the international market, from near check post Shame Ke.
It is added that police and BSF teams are regularly thwarting attempt of drug smugglers to smuggle in the contrabands through the plain Indo-Pak touching 553-km border and during the current huge quantity of heroin, arms and ammunition, mobiles, SIMs, have been seized besides apprehending intruders.
During the year 2020, BSF has effected seizures on Punjab Border of Heroin : 168.593 Kgs (including today’s seizure ), 50 Indian Border Crosser Apprehended 50, 6 Pak Intruders, 18 Weapon (Different Types), 28 Magazine(Different Types) , 281 Ammunition(Various Calibres) bullets, 2 Pak Mobile Phone, 4 Pak SIM Cards.
