Ferozepur, March 1, 2025: Acting on intelligence inputs, the Border Security Force (BSF) conducted search operations along the Ferozepur border, recovering a pistol and heroin in two separate incidents, thwarting a smuggling attempt from across the border.

On February 28, during a search operation around 8:15 PM, BSF troops recovered a Glock pistol wrapped in white adhesive tape with an iron hook attached, from agricultural fields near village Tindiwala, under Sadar police station, Ferozepur district.

In another incident at the same location, on March 1 at about 4:00 AM, vigilant BSF personnel recovered a packet weighing 590 grams of suspected heroin near the Satluj River. The narcotics were wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, with an iron hook attached.

The prompt action by BSF troops, based on reliable intelligence, successfully foiled the smuggling attempt using drones from across the border.
