BSF, Pak Rangers hold Monthly Flag Meeting to discuss farmers’ problem

Fazilka, March 21, 2017:  Despite tension between the two countries, a Monthly Flag Meeting between BSF and Pakistan Rangers was held  near border ourpost Sadiqi on the Pakistan side today.

The monthly flag meeting of the officers of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers was held near border outpost Sadiqi on the Pakistan side today.

The officials of both security forces discussed the hurdles being faced by the farmers along the Radcliff Line. Indian farmers carry out cultivation up to the last inch of the international border inside Indian territory.

The meeting was attended by Commandant Ajay Kumar, H.S.Sohi alongwith Raj Kumar, Tarsem Singh, Divesh Kumar and Jagdish Kumar. While from the other side, Wing Commander Jahangir Khan, Aslam Nussain and other Pakistani officials were present.

As per the information, during the meeting, the views were exchanged on the various border issues especially tightening the security in view of the coming harvesting season.

Apart from this, both sides have also decided to step up vigil along the international border to prevent infiltration and stressed on the need to maintain peace.
