BSF organizes Inter-Sector Football Competition-2018
Ferozepur, May 22, 2018: The BSF Inter-Sector Football Competiton-2018 of Sectors under Punjab Frontier BSF was held at Headquarters, BSF Punjab Frontier Jalandhar on 21st and 22nd May 2018.
During the conduct of above Competition, talented players have been selected. These selected players will be put through intensive coaching FTR HQ BSF Jalandhar under seasoned coaches to prepare them for future competitions at Force level.
Border Security Force has recognized the need to maintain a proper equilibrium between a healthy mind and healthy body to achieve sustained professional efficiency. Sports not only develop leadership qualities, esprit-de-corps and discipline but also inculcate a sense of brotherhood, cooperation and comradeship. These competitions provide a healthy platform for BSF sportsmen to exhibit their rare talent and courage to be further groomed for National and International Championships. This premier Force has the proud honour of producing sterling Sportsmen of National and International level which includes 17 Arjuna Awardees.
The Competition concluded on 22nd May 2018 with Prize Distribution ceremony and encouraging closing address by the Chief Guest Shri Mukul Goel, IPS, Inspector General BSF Punjab Frontier who highlighted the importance of sports in Force and congratulated the winning team on this occasion. 4. The result of BSF Inter-Sector Football Competition- 2018 are as Amritsar First, Abohar Second and Ferozepur Third.
The selected players of this Inter-Sector Football Competition 2018 will be participating in Inter Frontier Competition to be held later this year.
