BSF exposes new modus-operandi of smuggling heroin, recovers 1 kg heroin

Ferozepur, January 10, 2021:  The drug smugglers are known for using different modus-operandi to dodge the agencies while smuggling the consignment of contraband items into India.

This time, BSF troops seized a tractors’ drawbar filled with contraband – approx 1 kg – suspected to be heroin exposing the new modus-operandi  in the area responsibility of 124 Bn BSF Abohar Sector at BOP Gajniwala.  Earlier, at number of times, the heroin has been recovered in bottles, thermos, tubes, Tiffin box, hiding in private parts, by throwing over the fencing wire or using the long pipes.

Added here, during the year 2021, BSF has affected 3.640 kg heroin from Punjab border touching Pakistan including today’s seizure thwarting the attempt of anti-national elements to push the consignment into Indian Territory.
