BSF Cycle Rally Passes Through 25 Border Villages, Promotes Drug Awareness

Ferozepur, November 26, 2024: The Border Security Force (BSF) is conducting a cycle rally from JCP Sadqi to JCP Attari, Amritsar, via JCP Hussainiwala and the Kartarpur Corridor, to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse among the youth in border areas. The rally, scheduled from November 23 to 30, 2024, spans 491 kilometers.

On November 26, 2024, the rally was flagged off from Sector HQ, BSF Ferozepur, by Brig Vijai Singh Rana VSM (Retd), along with BSF officers and dignitaries. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents. Students from Vivekanand World School performed a song on the theme “Say No to Drugs,” while a student from Shanti Vidya Mandir presented a patriotic song for veterans. A weapon display at the HQ provided insights into BSF armaments.

Today, the rally completed a 60 km stretch, entering Tarn Taran district after passing through nearly 25 border villages in Ferozepur district. Over three days, it successfully inspired collective action against drug abuse, engaging villagers and schoolchildren under its theme, “Say No to Drugs.”
