BSF captures heroin dropped by drone, in socks near Ferozepur Indo-Pak border
Ferozepur, May 1, 2033: On two different occasions, BSF troops captured heroin dropped by drone and in socks in villagr Setha Wala, and Kilche, near Ferozepur Indo-Pak border
Divulging with details, BSF official said, on 30th April 2023 at about 11:55 PM, Border Security Force troops deployed at border, heard buzzing sound of a suspected flying object – Drone – entering from Pakistan to Indian territory in the area near
Village – Setha Wala, District – Ferozepur.
The troops deployed in the depth area observed a blinking light and heard the sound of drone. Depth parties also heard the sound of something dropped in the farming field on the outskirts of Village – Setha Wala, Distt – Ferozepur.
During initial search of the area, BSF troops recovered a big packet wrapped with yellow adhesive tape containing 3 packets of heroin, 2 sparkling balls and a luminous blue LED bulb with battery, which was also found attached to the consignment. The Gross weight of the 03 packets of heroin is appx – 2.5 Kg.
In another incident, on the same day, vigilant BSF troops, during area domination duties recovered a sock stuffed with a packet of suspected heroin, close to own side of border fence near border village – Kilche, Distt – Ferozepur. The sock was found from a harvested wheat field. Further, on opening the sock, Heroin (Gross wt – appx 1 Kg) was recovered.
Vigilant BSF troops once again thwarted the nefarious attempts of smugglers to smuggle contraband.
