Bomb like object found during digging up Panchayat land in village Pir Baksh

Ferozepur, August 2, 2016: With the bomb like object found during digging up Panchayat land in village Pir Baksh falling under Amir Khas Police Station near Jalalabad in Fazilka District, the situation is tense in and around the village.

Immediately on getting the news of bomb like device found in the village,

Joginder Singh SHO Amir Khas reached there and informed the army headquarters after cordoned off the pond where digging was going on.

SHO informed that today morning a bomb like device was noticed by the labourers while digging the pond upto 15 feet deep.

He also informed that according to the older timers in the village, army was deployed in this village during 1971 war.  The cleaning of pond had been regular process but the bomb like device has been found this time due to deep digging.
