BKU (Longowal) to lay siege to Punjab CM’s residence at Patiala

Ferozepur, September 13, 2017 :BKU Lakhowal is up in arms to gherao – picket – the residence of Chief Minister Punjab at Patiala on September 18 in the first phase for non-payment of around Rs.100 crore to the farmers for their produce of  sugarcane.

District this to the media persons, Er.Sukhdev Kamboj General Secretary said, the dharna will continue day and night till such time the payments in full by squaring up the accounts of each

farmer are not made.

BKU (L) also demanded from the government to waive of the farmers loan and in the first phase implement the earlier announcement of waiving of loan up to Rs.2 lac besides preventing the loss due to wild animals and compensation of hundred percent to the farmers.

Er.Sukhdev Singh also demanded to make arrangements for the export of potatoes to Arab countries to save the potato growers and also implement the report of Dr.Swaminathan.

He appealed to the farmers to assemble at Amb Sahib Gurdwara at Mohali on September 18 as per the scheduled programme to the farmers of Ferozepur to get the issue of balance payment of Rs.100 crore resolved including various other problems.
