BJP to hold dharnas at all district headquarters in State on Jan 16

Ferozepur, January 14, 2018: To apprise the people of the failure of the Congress government in the state, the Bhartiya Janata Party – BJP will hold dharnas at all the district headquarters on January 16, said Kamal Sharma, former BJP President, Punjab State and Member National Executive Committee at a press conference conveyed today at Press Club Ferozepur.

Kamal Sharma said, one year is going to pass of the Congress government and traditional time of honeymoon period was given to settle to fulfill the poll promises but the government had not fulfilled eve a single promise made before the Assembly poll.

BJP being the strong opposition party in alliance with the BJP have decided to sit on dharna at all the district headquarters on January 16 to remind the government of their poll promises, he added.

On all fronts, no promises have been fulfilled – it may giving smartphones to students, jobs to unemployment, Rs.5100 under shagan scheme to dalits, waiving off of loan, cheap electricity – by the Congress government.  It has played a mockery with the farmers on the issue of waiving of loan of meager amount which can be ascertained from the fact that five farmers committed suicide on the next day of launching of waiving of loan campaign at Mansa, said Kamal Sharma.

Lambasting at the government, Kamal Sharma said, the government has failed badly on all fronts.  All the ministers and leaders speak different language.

Reminding the Congress party that it is a democracy in India and we in the opposition will work as a sentinel for the rights of the people.  Because of anti-people policies of the government, we are compelled to raise the issues in Vidhan Sabha and sit on dharna on the roads.
