Bhardwaj -NOTA initiator, reminds voters of NOTA option in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 3, 2016: Krantikari Manuvadi Morcha (KMM) Party President, R K Bhardwaj, Initiator of None Of The Above (NOTA) after covering various states in the country, who was here today in Ferozepur – a border town of Punjab, to call upon the voters to be sincere and cautious in the forthcoming Assembly elections for the use of last button of NOTA introduced by the Election Commission of India, cautiously to express their displeasure.
The idea of the NOTA initiator is to ensure voting for the right candidate and in case none is suitable then press only the last button – NOTA, to express their displeasure and open the path of ‘Cancellation of subject election in particular constituency and ensuring nomination of ideally acceptable candidates by various parties in future.
R.K.Bhardwaj, has served in Air Force as Electrical Engineer for 14 years and after retirement, running his own Power House Sub Station industry at Noida. He became active after the Mandal Commission when people were protesting against the reservation and fighting against this evil – reservation – like cancer. Since 1989, he is working on three issues, NOTA, Reservation and Defection and visits every state well before the election to put wiser the voters about the use of NOTA button.
Speaking to this correspondent, R K Bhardwaj said, Right voting is the holiest act in democracy and NOTA should be pressed only if none of the candidates is suitable. Voters should not blindly follow any trend based on fictitious and flimsy propaganda.
The Government should include strengthening of NOTA in its immediate programme for cleansing the politics besides clearing garbage of India for proving its sincerity because clean politics will automatically clean India, he added.
On Right to Reject and Right to Call, Bhardwaj further said, it took more than 16 years to adopt it in the shape of a last button. In the event of use of NOTA button, the political parties will be forced to nominate the candidates with clean background. But, the Election Commission of India has played a cruel joke with the voters with the introduction of use of NOTA button without any power.
If you want to keep the corrupt leaders out of the race in politics, then re-election with the powers on use of NOTA will not be a costly affair.
Talking about the reservation, Bhardwaj said, the reservation is killing our society which may cause civil war between reservation and non-reservation.
When asked about its solution, he confidently said, caste based reservation should be replaced by free facility to poor students irrespective of any caste, creed and religion.
Stressing about the complete ban on defection (dal badal) by the political leaders, Bhardwaj said, there is need of complete ban on defection and compulsory resignation from MP/MLS seat before changing the party in order to totally curb the ‘horse trading’.
Lastly, Bhardwaj said, R.D.Bhardwaj, his grandfather was an associate of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and even after ten years of independence of India, he was not released from jail put by the then loyalist Prime Minister, Jawahar Lal Nehru. I have revolutionary blood in my veins and I will not die before bring the true revolution in the country which will be a real tribute to the martyrs. In case, we don’t get the motivation from the martyrs, then our freedom will be like a sun-set.
