Ferozepur, April 17, 2021: A delegation of BJP, religious and social organizations on Saturday submitted a memorandum to SSP Ferozepur demanding immediate arrest of attackers on the vehicle of Ram Gopal, State Convenor of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (Harivayal Wave) during his visit to Mallanwala on April 13, to thank the donors for Ram Ayodhya Mandir.
Ashniwala Sharma, former President MC,Davinder Baja, Naresh Kumar, Pawan Kansal, Anil Sharma, Advocate Bal Krishan, Sarbjit Sunny, Advocate Karan Puggal, Adv Avinas Gupta were present also present. The BJP leaders threatened to give a Ferozepur Bandh call in case the accused are not arrested.
A case was registered against the five unidentified persons by the police and Ram Gopal had sent his complaint through an email to the police but so far police have failed to arrest any one of them. They said in the past also there had been attacks on number of BJP leaders from time to time.
They said, merely registration of a case by the police, would not suffice when one particular community is being targeted under the guise of farmers agitation in the state and the return of 1984 era will not be tolerated. Fresh case may be registered on the statement of Ram Gopal.
Meanwhile, a case has been handed over to DSP Barinder Singh and action will be taken soon after the receipt of the report. The police is working without any bias and duty bound to maintain law and order, said Bhagirath S. Meena, SSP Ferozepur.
