Arora Society demands its representative in Lok Sabha elections
Ferozepur December 9, 2018: Arora Society – Political Wing, in its meeting held at Ferozepur today, organized under the leadership of Arun Narang, MLA, Abohar demanded from leading political parties – Akali Dal and BJP to field a candidate from Arora families in the upcoming Lok Sabha MP elections.
The meeting was attended by a large number of office bearers from Muktsar, Malout, Fazilka, Jalalabad, Abohar, Ferozepur Urban and Rural, Talwandi, Zira, Mamdot and Mallanwala.
Arum Narang, who is the only MLA from Abohar from Arora families, discussed various issues related to upliftment of Arora Samaj.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Narang said, Arora Families have a sizeable vote share in Punjab – 26% voters in the whole Punjab are from Arora families whereas in Ferozepur nearly 4.5 lac voters are from Arora Families but it is sad to note that Arora Families have almost no representative in Parliament.
In the meeting, it was unanimously decided Arora families should show solidarity and should demand from leading political parties namely Akali Dal and BJP to field a candidate from Arora families in the upcoming Lok Sabha MP Elections.
