Anti-Narcotic Cell arrests 2 smugglers, recovers heroin

Ferozepur, January 7, 2019: The Anti Narcotic Cell of Punjab Police have arrested two smugglers with the recovery of 1.5 kg heroin.

Divulging with the details, Baljit Singh Sidhu, SPD,  Ferozepur said, a team of Anti Narcotic Cell headed by Tarlochan Singh Incharge suspected two persons boarding on a tractor identified as Gursewak Singh of Jhugian Natha Singh and Bagicha Singh of Rasulpur of Tarn Taran.  On searching 1.5 kg heroin was recovered and arrested.  A case has been registered under the NDPS Act.   During interrogation, the accused have admitted that earlier also they had smuggled heroin through  Buta residing in Pakistan at a distance of 100m from the residence of accused Sukhwinder Singh.
