ANTI-DRUG DRIVE: Ferozepur cops freeze drug smugglers’ property worth Rs.18 lacs

Earlier, Rs.17 cr illegal property frozen by Competent Authority, Delhi

Ferozepur, June 5, 2024:  The Ferozepur police in its anti-drug drive in the district and following directions by the top brass to district police chiefs to identify and seize property made through illegal means by sale of drugs worth Rs.18 lac under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act 1985 after due approvals from the Competent Authority at Delhi.

Randhir Kumar, SP(I) said, that a house worth Rs.18 lacking drug smuggler Sandeep alias Billa of Khalchian Jadid village falling under Sadar police station was attached under the NDPS Act.  Sandeep has already been booked in 2021 under the NDPS Act on account of recovery of 1.5 kg heroin.

Earlier also property worth Rs.15 cr in 32 cases during 2023 and in 3 cases of the value of Rs.2 crore in 2024 has been attached in Ferozepur district after taking orders from the CA Delhi. Now the concerned drug smugglers cannot sell or transfer this illegal property to anyone till clearance from the concerned authorities.

SP(I) said, our anti-drug drive would continue, to put a complete check on the illegal drug activities in the district.
