Animal lovers put reflective radium belts on stray animals to avoid accidents
Ferozepur, December 23 2022: Stray animals that loiter on the streets get killed by speeding vehicles especially in the night and to prevent accidents occurring due to dense fog, the local NGO of animal lovers, Sri Bal Gopal Gau Sewa Society and Gaudham Upchar Kendar have started a novice step to put reflective radium belts around the neck of stray cattle.
An animal collar is a device that attaches to the neck of an animal to allow it to be harnessed or restrained, said animal lover Vipul Narang. He said, putting reflective radium belts will be our regular feature and been put in the city areas especially near the Sabzi Mandi. The accidents in these areas have reduced considerably due to the implementation of this unique technique.
He said, said these belts – which are harmless for the animals – reflect light and emits light in the dark so the animal wearing it would be easily visible to motorists.
Founder Rohit Devgan, Vipul Narang, Tinish Sharma, Lovish Shrarma, Monu Sharma and Ashok Behal, Secretary, Red Cross were present on this occasion.
