Amid Corona curbs, SSP honours kin of martyrs at their door-steps in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, October 20, 2020: This year, the Police Commemoration Day on October 21, will not be formally observed in the wake of Covid-19 restrictions, to pay homage o the police martyrs which laid down their lives during terrorism in the State. However, SSP Ferozepur, Bhupinder Singh has personally started visiting personally the residents of martyr’s families to honour them at their door-steps.
On this day, the grievances of the families are heard and the same are solved instantly or assured to take appropriate action, as per the directions of the Punjab government.
On Monday, SSP Bhupinder Singh during his visit to such families enquired about their well-off besides honouring with a gift as a token of love from the police department.
In one such case, the widow – a heart patient expressed his desire for the transfer of his son to Ferozepur to look after her properly. SSP took the decision to shift her son to Police Line without taking a fraction of a second.
Speaking on this occasion, SSP said, 354 police personnel of belonging to Ferozepur Police District had laid down their lives while fighting for the state during black days and he assured all families of martyrs that Ferozepur Police will stand with them during their problems.
