Ahead of Independence Day, Police carry out Flag March in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, August 8, 2023: In an exercise aimed at reinforcing public confidence in law and order machinery, the police on Tuesday carried out a flag march in the city, ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
The march passed through different roads of the town. Randhir Kumar, SP(I) said round-the-clock security arrangements had been made at all nakas in the district with a heavy presence of the police. Patrolling had been intensified in the district, especially in the border belt.
He said suspicious vehicles were stopped and checked if these were being used to supply illegal weapons to miscreants. The police were determined to maintain law and order and no miscreant would be allowed to create law and order problem.
The flag march was aimed at increasing the confidence of the people in policing. The flag march also served the purpose of building friendly relations between the police and the public, he added.

Seeking cooperation from the people, SSP Deepak Hillori said, the Flag March in the city ahead of Independence Day celebrations is to give strong message to the residents that if they notice any suspicious activity or suspicious person, the nearest police station must be informed to proceed for further action.
