After CM’s order to close Liquor Factory at Zira, Sanjha Morcha decides to call meeting for further course of action
Ferozepur, January 17, 2021: A new turn has surfaced after the announcement of closure of the Malbros Zira Factory at Mansurwal Kalan near Zira, by the Chief Minister, Punjab.
The protesters from Mansurwal and surrounding villages with support of various farmers outfits had been sitting on sit-dharna since July 24 demanding closure of the factory, alleged to be causing pollution to underground water, air and environment of the area.
Thanking the Chief Minister and local MLAs at the Sanjah Morcha, Baldev Zira said, the victory is incomplete and we will continue the Sanjha Morcha till the final decision. He said, IG has clarified that the CM has ordered the closure of the factory but the case in the court will continue. Expressing concern over the issue, he said, in case unfortunately the decision of the court is not to close the factory, then where we stand.
In their social groups, the demand of withdrawal of FIRs have also raised along with this decision.
He said, we will call a meeting all the outfits associated with us on Jan. 19 and decide further course of action by the Sanjha Morcha and till then the Morcha may be treated on hold.
