AAP up in arms in Punjab – announced various committees with future strategy
Ferozepur, September 15, 2017 : After the unprecedented victory of Congress in Punjab in the last Assembly elections, which has come as a major morale booster for the Congress party, the Aam Admi Party – AAP – in Punjab has started preparing its army for the coming Municipal, Corporation and 2019 elections.
All the four AAP party leaders who lost the last Assembly elections – Mohan Singh Phalianwala, former MP from Ferozepur Rural, Malkit Thind, District President from Guruharsahai, Gurpreet Singh Gora from Zira and Narinder Singh Sandha from Ferozepur in absentia his son along with Anil Thakur, President, Zone Malwa-I, were present.
Addressing the media persons Anil Tahkur said, the new district body has been announced to start the ground work ahead of the Municipal, Corporate and next 2019 elections in Punjab. The responsibility of various office bearers have been given keeping in view the loyalty of the member towards the party, commitment, ability and work done for the party, to strengthen the party in future.
The ground level committees will also be announced shortly, he added.
He said, we will continue to remind the Congress party to honour the promises made during the elections in their manifestoes.
Reacting on the report card of the Congress party during the six months tenure, Mohan Singh Phalianwala said, it is failure on all front as per the poll promises – employment, waiving of loan of farmers, old age pension, shagan scheme – rather worst than the last SAD government.
Speaking on the suicides by the farmers, he said, the Congress party has backed out from its commitment to waive of the loans of the farmers and the party is going to organize ‘Vishwasghat Pardafash’ – ‘To draw the curtain from betrayal” on the various issues relating to farmers.
On asking about the failure of AAP in Punjab, all the leaders were of the view that it was beyond everyone’s prediction but reluctantly shared the funds constraints as compared to other two rival parties.
