Revenue Officers give one weeks’ ultimatum to arrest accused for attack on IAS and PCS officers
Ferozepur, September 9, 2019: The Punjab Revenue Officers Association, Ferozepur Division in its meeting held today come forward in support of Vipul Ujwal, DC Gurdaspur and Narinder Singh Dhaliwal, SDM Zira. In protest, all the revenue officers in the district remained on pen-down strike.
PCS officers had already proceeded on two-days’ pen down strike on Sept. 9 and 10 in Ferozepur and Faridkot divisions and wear black badges and go on a state-wide pen- down strike on September 11, to protest against increase in incidents of attacks on officers and also in some cases of holding them hostage.
Today, the Punjab Government employees in the State, were also on pen-down strike in support of DC Gurdaspur and SDM Zira.
In a resolution in today’s meeting held under the tutelage of Vijay Behal, State Coordinator, the Association condemned both the incidents of using abusive language by Lok Insaaf Party MLA Bains and trying to push SDM Zira in Sutlej River by mischievous persons. The other present were Beant Singh, R.K.Jain, Pawan Kumar, Tehsildars and Paramjit Singh, Gurmit Singh, Baldev Singh, Yadwinder Singh, Naib Tehsildars.
Speaking to the media persons, said the Punjab Revenue Officers Association – PROA, in its meeting today to proceed on pen-down strike today and give one week’s ultimatum to arrest the accused in both the incidents and threatened to proceed on indefinite strike in support of DC Gurdaspur and SDM Zira.
