BJP blames SAD for Bargari sacrilege and Behbal firing incident
Ferozepur, October 22, 2018: Admitting the lapse on the part of alliance government being an equal partner – SAD-BJP in Punjab, for not taking action expeditiously in Bargari sacrilege and firing incident at Behbal, Kalan on October 14, 2015, Kamal Sharma in reply to the question today during his visit to Press Club, Ferozepur said, “Since both the Chief Minister and Home Minister were of Akali Dal, the direct responsibility is of them but being an alliance partner, it becomes a collective responsibility.
Kamal Sharma said, whatever action is being taken now, the same could have been initiated during the SAD-BJP government.
He said it is better to keep ourselves at a distance on this issue from Akali Dal as we don’t want to have any opposition from Sikhs during the coming elections in 2019.
Added here, such approach of BJP can create problems for the long time associated party Akali Dal and it is for Akali Dal to be seen as to which strategy is adopted by them. But one thing is confirmed that distance between the two parties is widening day by day and such statements must a part of the approach of the BJP, perhaps to bring Akali Dal on the back foot.
