Nelson Mandela International Day celebrated at Central Jail
Ferozepur July 18, 2018: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former South African President and Nobel Prize winner Nelson Mandela, Nelson Mandela International Day was celebrated at Central Jail Ferozepur.
On this occasion, Arvinder Pal Singh Bhatti, Supdt. Jail and Baldev Singh Kang, Deputy Supdt. Jail put wiser the prisoners about the life and value able ideas of Nelson Mandela.
They said, Nelson Mandela was a man who worked for democracy, human rights, peace and freedom and because of his work; he was honored with the Nobel Prize. They also motivated the prisoners to do well in their lives.
The main aim of celebrating such a day is to provide information about the good standing people so that they too should do good work in their future and become an example for others.
Apart from this, the detainees were also informed about to shun the menace of drugs and deceases due to drug addicts.
Also present on the occasion were Assistant Superintendent of Police Harbhajan Singh and Medical Officers including Medical and Jail staff.
