BNEGA is the permanent solution to unemployment in the country: Kanihaya Kumar

Ferozepur, September 12, 2017 : The introduction of Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act – BNEGA – the demand of which was raised on March 23, 2014 – is only the permanent solution to unemployment in the country, said Kanihaya Kumar, former President, JNU Students Union, Delhi while addressing the youths at the concluding of 60 days Long March started from Kanyana Kumari to Hussainiwala on July, 15.

 

The 60 days Long March to support Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act – BNEGA started from Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) on July 15 concluded today at Hussainiwala (Punjab) on the 120th Saragarhi Day celebrations to provide free, compulsory and scientific education to everyone in the country and to bring reform in election system, to ensure reservation in private institutions and to stop attacks on minority communities.

 

Hundreds of delegates from different states of the country, including hundreds of thousands of young people and students from across the country, participated by wearing a special T-shirt of the picture of Bhagat Singh apart from participation of parents of youths and young students.

 

The special participation was from All India Students Federation national leaders and Kanihya Kumar former President of JNU Delhi, Binoy Vishwas, National Chief Advisor, National President Sayyed Wali Ula Qadri, National Secretary Viswajit Kumar, Sarb Bharat Naujawan Sabha, Aftab Alam and National Secretary Raman Thirumlai.

 

Addressing the function, Kannayya Kumar, former president of Jawaharlal University, saluted Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev  heroes of martyr revolutionary land Hussainiwala, said the next phase of the country-level struggle is being launched to achieve the employment guarantee act and continue the struggle till the introduction of BNEGA law.

 

Talking about the importance of BNEGA, Kanihya said that the implementation of Banaga Act will be a permanent solution to unemployment at large scale available in the country.

 

Speaking on the occasion, thousands of students and youths from different states of the country, successfully participating in the nationwide journey from July 15, Raman Thirumalai, National General Secretary of AISSF, Viswajit Kumar and National General Secretary of AIIF, said, today he is organizing the event on the historic ground by traveling thousands of kilometers in awareness.

 

 

On this occasion, AISF National President Wali Ula Qadri and AIFF's Aftab Alam Khan said that apart from issues like nationwide long March to advocate BNEGA, awareness will be created, to ensure free, compulsory and scientific education for everyone, protection of non-communalism, public safety and to improve the electoral system in the country.

 

AISSF Punjab President Charanjit Singh Chhanga Rai and Secretary of the AIYF Sukhjinder Maheshri said that the demand for BNEGA was started from 23 March 2014 from this historic land which has now become the voice of the youths of whole of the country.
