Temporary Jail and Control Rooms established in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, August 25, 2017: Making an appeal to the people to maintain peace, law and order and communal harmony in the district, the deputy commissioner, Ramvir said the Punjab Government is committed for their security and life.
He said, in the event of any emergency, two control rooms have been established each one in District Administrative Complex – DAC with landline No.01632-244024 and in District Police Complex – DPC with No.01632-244100.
He also made an appeal not to forward any message or message on social media in other groups which instigate for any untoward incident.
He also assured that no anti social element will be allowed to damage the public or private property and in case anyone is noticed doing so, a strict action under the law will be initiated against him.
Sources also said that Hakumat Singh Wala Meritorious School has been converted into ‘temporary jail’ today when the special CBI court is to pronounce the verdict in the case against Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh.
However, imposition of prohibitory orders, holding flag marches were the steps taken by the district and police adminstartion ahead of the court judgement in a sexual exploitation case against Dera Chief.
