BSF and STF jointly seize heroin at two locations in Punjab
Ferozepur, June 3, 2017 : The Border Security Force and Special Task Force seized heroin at two different locations in Punjab by maintaining extra vigil on border to thwart the attems of anti-national elements.
As per the inputs, during the special search operation carried out in the alignment of BP No..139/13 of BOP Ex 87 BSF, under sector Ferozepur, some suspected items concealed in the field were noticed in the cylindrical coupling pin weighing 1.880 kg, having length 33 cms and dia 3 cms, filled with heroin of approximately 290 gms.
BSF and STF Ludhiana and Ferozepur seized another 2 kg heroine from BSF Fence gate No.243/M, area of responsibility of BOPL Border out Post GG-1.
DIG BSF Sector Ferozepur said, tactical operations are being mounted to foil any attempt of the smugglers / anti national elements.
He said, during gthe 2017, BSF has effected 91.941 kg including today’s seizure of 290 gms in Ferozepur sector besides opium, weapons, magazines, ammunition, SIMs and apprehension of Bangladesh, Pak and India border crosser.
