GTU to protest against Govt’s anti-teachers policies on June 1 at Gurdaspur

Ferozepur, May 28, 2017:  The Government Teachers Union will announce further course of actions to register their protests against the anti-teachers policies at the home district of Education Minister, Aruna Choudhary.

Giving the information, Balwinder Singh Bhutto, President, GTU Ferozepur and others said, it is injustice on the rights of the  teachers by issuing the transfer orders of teachers in the influence of Education Minister, without giving any opportunity to other teaches for giving their options.  

Shortly the GTU will announce its future protest plan in the General Council Meeting at Gurdaspur on June 1.

Neeraj Yadav, Press Secretary said, the teaching class is unnecessarily being blamed for the poor results but a good number of vacant posts in the state, itself speaks about the arrangements made by the education department.

Not only this, the number of categories of existing teaching staff has not been wages for the last 8-9 months, he added.

Quoting the number of recent postings, he expressed his concern over ignoring the seniority list as per the orders of the court while deploying the District Education Officers.
