Jathedar Dhyan Singh Mand detained ahead of Sarbat Khalsa
Ferozepur, October 29, 2016: In a preemptive move, the Ferozepur police detained Bhai Dhyan Singh Mand, Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib appointed by Sarbat Khalsa, keeping in view the proposed Sarbatt Khalsa to be held on November 10.
Sources said, Like last year, this year also Bhai Dhyan Singh Mand will try to give a message in the name of community on the eve of Divali. His message is now likely to released in handouts.
Mand is likely to be released tomorrow afternoon.
In fact, Panthic organizations have given a call to organize a Sarbat Khasla on November 10 this time at Talwandi Sabo – one of the five takhats or seat of temporal authority of Sikhism.
The decision was part of the 11-point resolution passed at a thinly attended panthic conference.
It was also decided that until November 10, the panthic organizations will continue ‘dharamparchar’ throughout the state and even abroad to make the masses ware of the importance of Sarbat Khalsa.
It was also stated that SAD (Amritsar) and SAD (United Dal) will be contesting the Vidhan Sabha elections while Panthic organizations will focus only on SGPC polls and Dharam Parchar.
