“Bird Lovers” arrange “Water Bowls” for birds reeling from heat in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 26, 2016: The summer heat is on with temperature 45 degree Celsius plus and monsoon is still some days away, driving people to stay indoors but students of Govt. Senior Secondary (Girls), Ferozepur have taken the initiative by keeping water bowls for the birds in the school campus as the students believe that it is the least one can do.
Harkiran Kaur, Principal appreciating the initiative by the students to keep water bowl at certain places in the campus, in this scorching heat to cope with this problem as the birds feel short of water in the open in these days.
She further said, the human being can be helpful for animal kingdom as it is the need of the hour and each person should come forward to keep alive the beauty in the nature.
On this occasion, the students pledged to keep water bowls for sipping on the roofs of their houses to save the birds from roasting heat.
When one of the local students – Pareenita – sharing her feelings said, the birds come everyday not only to drink the water but also play in it. It’s a beautifully sight and I have spotted some rare birds too.
