Due to ongoing agitation in Punjab, 19 Passengers Trains cancelled in NR FZR DIV
Earlier railway booked 3500 leaders and unidentified farmers
Ferozepur, October 17, 2015 : Due to ongoing agitation in Punjab on account of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib, the Northern Railway Ferozepur Division has cancelled 19 Passengers Trains.
Earlier also, because of farmers agitation, the railway has to cancel number of trains causing inconvenience to the people and putting a loss in crores to the railways.
The passengers trains cancelled are 74938-74940 FZR-JUC, 54643-74937-74939 JUC-FZR, 74684-74686-74688 ASR-KEMK, 74983-74685-74687 KEMK-ASR,74975 FZR-FKA, 74988 FKA-KKP,74987 KKP-FK, 74988 FKA-BTI, 74985 BTI-FKA, 74982 FKA-KKP, 74983 KKP-FKA, 74943 JUC-PTK.
In the meantime, the railways have registered a case against 3000 unidentified farmers including Sarwan Singh, Harpreet Singh and Satnam Singh leaders.
A case has also been registered against 300 unidentified farmers including BKU Krantikari, District President Joginder Singh, Nirbhay Singh and Gurdeep Singh Ajnala farmer leaders, for putting up dharna on Ferozepur-Ludhiana rail section between Dagroo and Talwandi Bhai. Besides, cases have also been registered against hundred of farmers including BKU leader Avtar Singh for sitting on dharna disrupting the movement of trains on Phagwara-Nawan Shehar Rail Section. Likewise, for creating hindrance on the rail track Phillaur and Lohia Rail Section, case has been registered against BKU leaders Nirma, Singh, Gurnam Singh and Manohar Singh including hundreds of unidentified persons.
However, no arrest has so far been made against whom the cases has been registered said, MSZ Khan, Senior Security Commissioner.
