Police unearthed Interstate gang running Online Casino based at Guruharsahai in Ferozepur

Recoveries made : Rs.4.05 lac cash, one computer, two laptops &  4 mobile phones.

Ferozepur, March 11:  The Punjab Police claim to have busted an interstate gang running Online Casino in Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Mumbai and other states,  by floating as game by the government, based at Guruharsahai with the arrest of two persons and recovery of Rs.4.05 lac cash, one computer, two laptops, 4 mobile phones.  The arrested have been identified as Rajesh Puggal son of Baldev Raj, Mani son of Satpal resident of Guruharsahai.

Stating further to the media persons in a press conference, Hardayal Singh Mann, SSP Ferozepur said, the police party headed  by Sulakhan Singh, DSP Guruharsahai was available for checking at Kuti Moud falling under Guruahrsahai Police Station when a tip-off was received that Game King – Aanchal Chorasia resident of Mumbai presentluy at Lakshmi Nagar near Mandir Dairy Delhi  – through internet software mail IDs, is running a Casino type gambling in association with Rajan of Delhi, Rajesh Puggal resident of Guruharsahai through his sub-agents – Mani, Gulshan, Pola, Rohit Saluja, Rajan, Sonu Bhateja, Raman engaged for the purpose.  Some of the ID numbers are 00103455, 00103683, 00103564, 00103686, 00104105, 00104109, 00103689, 00105789, 00103479, 00105791, 00103687, 00103562.

He further said that these agents after purchasing the points and getting IDs were passing on to the innocent persons with allurement of being a government game.  The amount was increasing with the number of points earned like Rs.9 against Rs.1 for one number multiplied with numbers earned.  Number of people involved in this game have been cheated and ruined with this online game with loss of lakhs of rupee and majority of the people were losing in this game, he added.

SSP also stated that with unearthing of this gang, the people will get a relief.  Investigation are still going on after decipher the IDs and more clues are expected to come on surface besides involvement of more people.   However, the quantum of cheating amount is yet to be ascertained.

During the preliminary investigation, it has come to fore that Game King Aanchal Chorasia and his associated Rajan have opened their office in Delhi with separate email IDs. Rajesh Puggal was further appointed a sub-agent and others and sending them the game duly loaded with points. He was collecting the money either in cash by sending the persons or getting directly in his ICICI Bank account at Guruahrsahai and people were playing the game while sitting at their home. There was a draw of the game every minute of the downloaded game.  Rajesh Puggal was involved in this profession for the last 2-3 years and has a property in the fake names for which separate investigation is also going on.  The arrest of remaining gang members involved in this trade is also expected by raiding at the suspected places.
