After performing Shramik Express train duty, Kanungo donates blood to save life of woman
Ferozepur, May 17, 2020: The government officials are always working on frontline not during the fight against coronavirus pandemic but also on other humanitarian grounds and the recent example is of Rakesh Aggarwal, Kanungo deployed on Shramik Express train duty.
On Saturday evening, Rakesh Aggarwal after performing his hard duty on the movement of two express trains got a call from the hospital for the need of blood for a woman, reached Civil Hospital and voluntarily donated blood to save the life of a woman.
He informed that on late night a got a call from the hospital that a woman suffering from anemia and arthritis, presently having only 5 gm blood, is immediately in need of blood. Without giving a second thought, he donated his blood for Amarjit Kaur who had six daughters and hails from a very poor family.
Presently, Rakesh Aggarwal was deployed to look after the boarding of migrant workers on Shramik trains, was earlier put on duty to look after the persons at SBS Technical College, who had come from Nanded and were under quarantine as per the medical protocol.
Rakesh Aggarwal was feeling pleasure after donating the blood, saying, it is only the human being who can donate blood
