Mayank Foundation honours warriors in ‘Khakhi’ uniform

Ferozepur, April 15, 2020: Now the whole of India is following the curfew to fight with the threat of coronavirus, to stop the spread of coronavirus infection by sitting at house. It would not have been possible without the constant vigil of warriors in Khakhi Uniforms.

A leading NGO – Mayank Foundation, today honoured the police warriors in Khakhi uniform, who are performing their duties, in true spirits, to control the spread of coronavirus during the curfew and lockdown period, by risking their lives for the sake of citizens.  In Ferozepur, Punjab Police and NGOs have joined hands to fight against the battle of coronavirus.

From day one of the announcement to curfew in the wake to combat the spread of coronavirus threat, the Mayank Foundation has taken the responsibility of providing food to the poor and needy people.  The NGO extended its services through the District Red Cross Society under the tutelage of Deputy Commissioner, Kulwant Singh.

DIG H.S.Maan, SSP Bhupinder Singh and few police officials were honoured by garlanding and offering cookies.  Under their able command, the morale of Khaki wearer has boosted to work with more dedication, devotion and passion.  The fight against corona cannot be won single-handed and it could only be possible with cooperation of each other.

Maan, DIG appealed to the people to maintain the zero corona status of Ferozepur by staying at home till lockdown is completed lifted.

This leading NGO is doing a yeoman’s service in various fields, was founded by Deepak Sharma, a teacher by profession, in honour of his son who became a victim of the road accident.  During the curfew and lockdown period, all of its members are looking after the kitchen and distributing the food in the remote areas of the district.

On honouring the police cops on the roadside by Mayank Foundation for doing commendable job 24×7 during the curfew-lock down period, Bhupinder Singh, SSP Ferozepur said, I feel the pleasure that the leading NGO had honoured the police officials for performing their duties, to control the spread of coronavirus.

Speaking on the police cops at Patiala, SSP said, we respect the citizens. But I also appeal to the people to follow the curfew instructions and cooperate with the police administration.

Anirudh Gupta, CEO DCM Group of Schools said, in this hour of crisis, the Punjab police has played an effective role during the lockdown which is challenging one despite having multi-tasking duties.  The effective control credit goes to the district and police administration and this is the reason that so far there is not even a single case of corona in FerozepurHonouring the cops is a small gesture by NGO.
