3-Farm Laws need to be repealed on humanitarian grounds: MLA Awla

Ferozepur, December 14, 2020:  The farmers don’t want to see their rights being robbed and the three farm laws should be repealed on humanitarian grounds, said Raminder Awla, MLA from Jalalabad from Delhi while joining the protesting farmers at the ‘Langar Sewa’.

He said, it looks that the struggle of the farmers and youth, including the families at the Delhi border against the agrarian laws is no less than a prostration and the zeal of the Punjabis at the Tikri border in Delhi and it is seen as if Punjabis have united and stood up for their rights.

Expressing his concern over the attitude of the Centre government, Awla said, in December when people often to people often go to sleep with their doors closed and heaters in cold weather but the farmers irrespective of odd weather conditions are fighting for their rights by sitting on dharna at Delhi borders are memorable.

Appreciating the sentiments of the protesters, the government should repeal the three farm laws on humanitarian grounds otherwise the rights of the farmers would be robbed, said MLA.

He said, I would like to convey the message of the young generation of Punjab, to the lawmakers that farmers are not limited to the field but due to the hard work of the farmer today millions of their sons and daughters brought laurels to the country by holding various positions at the global level.  We definitely stand with them in this hour of crisis.
