48,100 habit-forming drugs seized, two held
Ferozepur, May 23, 2021: The Ferozepur police nabbed a man with habit-forming drugs. The accused was identified as Harbans Singh of village Kaku Wala.
The police was on a routine patrolling near Ghall Khurd with regard to suspicious nature persons. On suspicion, the cops stopped a youth on a motorcycle CT 100 without number. On seeing the police party, he scared and tried to take a U-turn when the police nabbed him. During the search of his belongings, 48,000 Clovidol tablets and 100 SR were recovered from his possession which he had been selling without any medical prescription on high rates and earning money illegally, due to which people were addicted for these medicines.
A case under Section 22-61-85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the accused. The accused has been booked under NDPS Act and further investigations are on.
