Ultimatum given to lift ban by February 26

DSS SUBMITS MEMORANDUM TO DC FZR

Ferozepur, February 23: Under decision of the Punjab Political Affair Committee of Dera Sacha Sauda,  45-member team submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur in the name of Punjab Chief Minister, led by Basant Singh Insan and Balkar Singh Insan, in order to pressurize the Punjab Government to lift the ban imposed on screening of the movie MSG – The Messenger produced by Dera Chief Sant Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.

As per the information, there was no ban in the country and only Punjab government has banned the screening of the movie.  The movie had earlier created a problem for law and order machinery of the state for bringing the Dera followers and radical Sikhs coming across each other once again.

Giving information to the media persons, Basant Singh and Balkar Singh said, 106 projects are running for the welfare of hu,anity by DSS Chief which include, providing of built-up house, treatment of poor people, donating blood to the needy person, drug de-addiction campaign, femal foeticides etc.  Apart from this, a film titled MSG – the Messenger for eradication of various social evils have been produced,  which stands released globally after certification by the Censor Board and has earned more than Rs.100 crore.

They also said, the film is not at all hurting the sentiments to any class rather motivating then the youth community against drugs and for the welfare of humanity.  The Punjab Government has banned this film without any logic.

DSS Dera Premis gave ultimatum to lift the ban on this film in Punjab by February 26 and in the event of not doing so, the further strategy will be decided by the dera followers.

On this occasion, 15  members –  Surinder Kumar Shinda, Suknam Singh, Ashok Kmar, Basant Singh, Sewa Singh, Joginder Singh, Beant Singh, Tejinder Singh, Sukhdev Singh and others were present.
