4-year-old girl dies after Chinese thread slits her throat in Ferozepur
Ashleen Kaur, a resident of Ferozepur, who was returning home from school with her mother yesterday, reached a petrol pump near Zira Gate when a Chinese door hanging on the roadside got stuck and cut her throat. The girl was critically injured when her mother’s thumb got stuck in her throat and she was rushed to the Civil Hospital Ferozepur she succumbed to her injuries this morning. Fathe, Daljit Singh said that the Chinese door should be completely banned so that such traffic incidents may not happen in the future with anyone.
It should be noted that the Chinese door was being used in the city on the day of Basant Panchami, but the police administration was sleeping in a trance, at the cost of which an innocent girl had to pay the price. However, only a few recoveries of Chinese thread were made by the police, ahead of the festival.
Social activist, Sheru Kakkar said that if the district administration has the will to curb the Chinese door then it is not a big deal to stop it. In order to stop the use of Chinese doors, the administration needs to learn a lesson from this accident.
