4 deaths, 87 Covid-19 +ve cases reported in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 12, 2021: On Sunday, with 4 deaths and 80 Covid-19 positive cases reported, the total tally has of deaths has gone to 228 and positive active cases to 1,168 in the district with the recovery of 157 persons.
During the month of April, 2,383 positive cases have surfaced with 55 deaths. However, there had been a recovery of 1474 positive cases.
The health department is regularly making an appeal to follow the Corona guidelines and come forward for vaccination. Following the basic precautions – wearing masks, washing hands frequently and keeping physical distance can prevent us from coronavirus and its further transmission, said Dr. Yovraj.
As per the information, 1,33,910 samples were taken for Covid testing since its break in this part, out of which 11,28,016 were negative, 7,894 positive, 6,503 recovered leaving active cases to 1,168 with the recovery of 157, while the report of 1,000 samples was still awaited.
The death toll due to corona in the district is 228 including 4 of today, in Mamdot, Ferozepur Urban, and Guruharsahai blocks – two each male and female of the age of 28 yrs, 57 yrs, 62 yrs and 75 yrs.
Under the vaccination drive, 72,288 persons with 1586 on Sunday, have been given the Corona vaccination dose to 45 plus years including the front and health line workers.
