3 mobiles with data cable found in Central Jail

Ferozepur, May 19, 2018: During the search operation on Friday, three mobile phones, one data cable and one bundle of bidis were recovered from the prisoners under trial.

On the complaint of Superintendent Central Jail, Ferozepur, a case has been registered under Section 52-A Prisons Act 1894 against Surinder Pal Singh,  Naveen Saini and Tejinder Singh, prisoners under trial in different cases.

With the recovery of mobiles and data cable, the security of central jail is at stake.  In the past also, number of mobiles had been recovered from the jail inmates which has created a doubt about the security arrangements in the central jail especially with the recovery of data cable which is used for operating the laptop or transfer of data from one device to another device.

Despite tight security arrangements, the connivance or lack in performing the checking duty cannot be ruled out.
