136th birthday of Srinivas Ramanujan National Mathematics Day celebrations held at VWS
Ferozepur, December 22, 2023: Giving the above information, Director VWS Dr. S. N. Rudra said that to pay tribute to the brilliant Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, the National Mathematics Mahotsav was organized by Vivekananda World School. The objective of the National Mathematics Mahotsav, organized under the guidance of great Mathematics Educationist Paramveer Sharma on National Mathematics Day, was to promote love for Mathematics among the students by involving them in various exciting activities.
Students from different classes took part in Mathematics related activities specifically designed to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the subject. These activities include Class 1: Coloring Ramanujan’s Diagram and other Maths related words,
Class 2: Videos on 3D Shapes,
Class 3 & 4: Maths Relay,
Class 5 & 6: Interhouse Maths Quiz,
Class 7: Maths Rangoli,
Class 6 to 9: Participated with great enthusiasm in various Mathematics related activities.
Through these activities, Vivekananda World School aims to inspire students to develop a deeper appreciation of the beauty and relevance of Mathematics in their daily lives. By honoring the legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan, we hope to nurture young minds and encourage their curiosity in the field of Mathematics.
By organizing Mathematics activities specially dedicated to Mathematics Day Shri Paramveer Sharma said that Mathematics is not only a subject but it is an important part of our daily life. With correct understanding and application of Mathematics, we can make our life more organized and successful.
