Ferozepur, February 16, 2022: Giving a call for “Nawan Punjab, Bhajpa De Nal” a new slogan given by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Amit Shah Home Minister today during his visit to Ferozepur, to campaign in support of Rana Sodhi from Ferozepur and Gurparvez from Guruharsahai, said, the PGI Satellite Centre will be started before the Baisakhi.

Shah said, instead of welcoming, the PM’s route was blocked to reach the site where he was laid the PGI Satellite Centre foundation stone besides various projects for Punjab of more than Rs.40,000 crore.  It is unfortunate that PM was stuck atop a flyover for 15 to 20 minutes due to the road being blocked by some protesters and it has been termed as a major lapse by the Ministry of Home Affais.

He said,  this time we are contesting independently, breaking the alliance with the Akali Dal only on 22 seats.

Rana Sodhi also put a demand for the opening of the Hussainiwala border which will bring employment opportunities in the area and boost the business economy besides the overall development of the area.

He also asked to declare the 20 km area from the international border as a tax-free zone for industry, declaring the border city Ferozepur as Model City, early construction Patti Rail Link so that for uninterrupted traffic up to Mumbai and making free the cantonment residents from the old black rules of 1836.

Amit Shah said, the foundation stone of PGI Satellite Centre in Ferozepur would be laid before April 13 besides solving the problems of farmers of border area on priority immediate after lifting of model code of conduct.
